1. Agreement

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Gridiron Gold mobile application and website and your entry into the Gridiron Gold bracket contest (the "Contest"). By creating an account or submitting a bracket, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

• You must be a legal resident of the United States and at least 18 years old at the time of registration.
• The Contest is not available in Rhode Island, Washington, New York, or Florida. You may not register or play while located in those states — eligibility is checked by the state you are playing from.
• Employees and contractors of Gridiron Gold, its sponsors, and their immediate household members are not eligible for prizes.
• One account per person. You must register with accurate information, including your real date of birth, and verify your email address before playing.

3. Contest rules (summary)

The full mechanics are shown in the app; in short:

• No purchase necessary. Entry is free. A purchase does not improve your chances of winning. This is a skill-based prediction contest.
• Everything is submitted before the lock. Before the announced lock time (set ahead of the playoff selection show), you submit: the 12-team playoff field in seed order, a predicted winner for all 11 games, and the total points scored in each of the 4 rounds. Brackets cannot be created or edited after lock. You may enter up to 2 brackets.
• Picks score by seed slot. Each pick is compared against the actual winner of that slot's real game. If your predicted team is not in that game, or does not win it, the pick is wrong. Predicting the field itself earns no points.
• One wrong winner eliminates the bracket. An eliminated bracket remains on the leaderboard and keeps accumulating points, but cannot win the grand prize.
• Round totals are scored per round (not per game) against the actual combined points of all games in that round, within the tolerance configured for the season (exact match by default).
• Winner: the best-ranked bracket that survives all 11 games. Tiebreakers, in order: (1) closest championship-game total-points prediction; (2) earliest bracket submission time. If no bracket survives all 11 games, no grand prize is awarded.

4. Prize

• The grand prize is between $100,000 and $500,000, as announced for the season.
• Prize eligibility and amount are subject to insurance carrier approval. The prize is underwritten by a third-party insurance carrier, and payment is conditional on the carrier's verification and approval of the winning entry.
• Winners must complete identity, age, and eligibility verification, and any required tax documentation, before payment. Taxes are the winner's responsibility.
• No substitution or transfer of the prize, except at our sole discretion.

5. Account rules & fair play

• Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• Prohibited: multiple accounts, automated play or scripting, exploiting bugs, circumventing state or age restrictions (including via VPN or location spoofing), and harassment of other players.
• We may suspend or disqualify accounts that violate these terms, and may correct scoring or results affected by error, fraud, or technical failure.
• You may delete your account at any time — see the account deletion page.

6. Contest changes, suspension, cancellation

If the underlying playoff format changes, games are cancelled or relocated, or events beyond our control (including technical failure or fraud) compromise the integrity of the Contest, we may adjust the schedule and scoring, or suspend or cancel the Contest. Material changes will be announced in the app.

7. Intellectual property

The Gridiron Gold name, logo, app, and site content are our property or used under license. Gridiron Gold is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the NCAA or any collegiate institution; team references are for identification only.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gridiron Gold and its officers, employees, sponsors, and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or lost opportunities to play, arising from your use of the service or participation in the Contest. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us (which, for a free contest, is zero) — except where the law does not allow such limits.

9. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the US state in which the Contest operator is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the governing state will be named here in the final terms. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts of that state, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app and take effect no earlier than the next contest season unless required sooner by law. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
